At Rominger Family Dentistry in Hudson, our goal is to protect and enhance your oral health. Although we always strive to save your natural teeth, there are times when that is not possible.

In some cases, a tooth extraction may be necessary to maintain your oral and overall health. An extraction may be required if a tooth is infected, severely decayed, or damaged. Our team performs many extractions in our office, thus saving many patients the need to see a specialist.
Does your office take out wisdom teeth or third molars?
Sometimes, our team will take out third molars. However, many third molar extractions can be difficult for a general dentist as well as the patient. Due to this reason, we often refer patients to an oral surgeon for wisdom tooth removal.
Why would I need to have my wisdom teeth extracted?
Many times, there is not enough space in the mouth for wisdom teeth to properly erupt. This can create problems such as crowding of the other teeth, decay in the other teeth, or impaction of the wisdom teeth. Many times, we find that preserving one’s wisdom teeth leads to many dental problems down the road, which is why we almost always suggest that wisdom teeth be removed as early as possible.
